A bizarre honeymoon plunges Fedora into the search for a disguised Nazi killer, a fabulous cache of diamonds – and an espionage plot so monstrous it will hold readers spellbound until the shattering climax.

IT WAS AS IMPOSSIBLE AS ONE, TWO, THREE…

1. Find a well-disguised ex-Nazi without knowing what he looks like…
2. Uncover a fantastic, vital cache of diamonds that might not even exist…
3. Climb the dangerous slopes of a virtually un-scalable mountain with men you suspect want to kill you.

In short, it was an assignment Johnny wouldn’t have accepted from British Intelligence in a million years – but on his own, with a once-in-a-lifetime girl like Marie-Andrée at his side, he jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, it was only his first mistake…

First it was Eric Amber, then Ian Fleming, now the most lethal espionage mastermind blasts onto the scene …

“As one has come to expect from Cory, colorful action, copious carnage, elaborate intrigue, frequent surprises.”
New York Times Book Review

“Readers who like their thrillers to complement their intelligence must on no account miss Mr Cory.”

Protagonist Margaret Lerner, a.k.a. Maggie, lives a humdrum life; that is until she meets Native American spiritual guide, Chickahominy Grits. Maggie, a divorced, middle aged woman with OCD, is entrenched in an unfulfilling job, an unfulfilling life. She's convinced herself this is as good as it gets. Then one day, out of the blue, she receives a mysterious and foreboding email from her spiritual guide encouraging her to take her journey, and on this journey, to pay attention to the signs along the way. She has no intention of heeding such crazy advice, but the more she learns about the guide, the more he reveals his extraordinary knowledge of her past. Soon other unexpected events begin to unfold, events she cannot ignore. These pull her backward, into her youth, where she discovers that nothing she had believed in was as it once seemed. Was anything in her past real, true? What does it all mean? Where will her journey take her?

Running parallel to her travels is the mystery of her father's possible involvement in the murder of two policemen in a church basement, in 1964. What she learns about her family and herself will change everything and her current mundane life will be turned upside down, changed forever.

Journeywoman is a timely tale of self-discovery and intrigue that pays homage to the romance of change.

On the day of his brother’s funeral, Benjamin Morris saves a small boy from drowning in the river and falls in love with one of the bystanders, a psychologist named Mae. Then his three-year-old son is abducted from his nursery school along with many other children across the country. This is a beautifully written whodunit wrapped up in metaphors. Who are all these abducted children and where have they gone?

Sample text:

Two weeks before the day at Midsummer Common, Jacob Morris threw a dish at his kitchen wall. It wasn't just any plate but the Denby serving dish that his mother-in-law had bought him and his wife when they first moved to Oxfordshire twenty five years ago. It was cream inside and a dark brown around the edges, an unimaginative, seventies looking dish, and when it hit the wall it shattered into a hundred pieces, some big, some small, some cream, some dark, which scattered around the worktop and skidded across the floor. His wife, whose back was turned when he grabbed the dish, gave a little scream of surprise and whipped around. Jacob had wanted to say something to her in this moment, something vindictive and triumphant, something gallant and dignified, but all he did was stand there, panting, his shoulders heaving up and down in his anger, his fists clenched, his face crimson, the broken bits of pottery at his feet. They stared at each other, man and wife, for several seconds. And then Paula gave a toss of her head so that the locks of her tawny hair rolled over one another like silk. Jacob deflated but he could still think of nothing to say. Paula picked up her bag.

“If that's all you got,” she said and turned towards the door, “I'm going. I'll ring about the girls. I don't think they should see you until you've stopped throwing dishes.”

Burned out and bitter after a string of disappointments, Nicola Strozyk takes a short-term gig assisting Laurie Sparks, the design world’s reigning enfant terrible. Barely in his twenties, Laurie has built himself an empire that encompasses a chic Manhattan boutique and a role on an obnoxious reality series. Part worldly sophisticate and part cheerful scatterbrain, Laurie is beautiful and extravagant; at nearly twice his age, Nicola is jaded and resolutely unglamorous. As Laurie’s burgeoning fame threatens to overwhelm him, Nicola finds herself struggling to keep him on solid ground.

When Laurie becomes obsessed with tracking down the designer of a mysterious coat, he drags Nicola along on a champagne-fueled quest that takes them from the New York catwalks to glittery Hollywood parties and swanky suites in Paris hotels. What begins as a lark takes an ominous turn when they uncover a decades-old mystery involving the murders of two young models. Along the way, the odd-couple camaraderie between Nicola and Laurie evolves into a fierce bond, which is put to the test when she must protect him from a pair of deadly threats: a mercurial fellow designer hell-bent on burying a dark secret, and an obsessive killer who has fixed his sights on Laurie.
