The Fires devastated much of the Uptown Business District in Butte, Montana, during the 1970s. Patrick Connors, an Irish-born fireman, perished while fighting the Pennys Fire on Park Street in February, 1972. Twenty-five years later his nephew Liam Connors comes to Butte from Ireland. His plans are to vacation with his friend John Sullivan and to meet the people from his uncle's past.
