Detective Morgan, also a former Kansas City cop, is head of detectives for the Branson Police Department. He asks Hap to keep his eyes and ears open. Morgan suspects some of Hap's co-workers. Could one of his friends commit murder? When Hap begins receiving notes from the killer, he races to solve the crime before he becomes the next victim.
